4 months contract with Local government Job Summary: • To ensure the timely, efficient and effective delivery of the Lambeth Payroll Service data file transmission process that meet the needs of internal and external customers and that meet the business needs, priorities and objectives of the Council Key Duties (Sample): • Monthly payroll running. o Validation reports. o BACS file transmission to the Financial Transactions Service. o RTI. FPS and EPS file submissions. o Payroll file transfer for general ledger submission. • Other post payroll processes. o Produce monthly employer pension reporting.; o LGPS I-Connect. o LPFA employer portal. o Teachers' Pensions MDC/MCR and End of Year Certificate. o NHSPS electronic staff records. • Manage and implement year end / start of new year payroll processes; o Supplementary payrolls. o Pay awards. o Pay increments. o P60, P6 and P9 uploads. o Tax code uplift. o Payroll new financial year period dates. o Voluntary deductions new rates (e.g. Unison). o Pensions Auto Enrolment thresholds. o Pensions banding (LGPS, TP, NHSPS). o EOY Pension returns. • To manage and ensure the production and distribution to employees/ers of bulk employee/er information, e.g.: o Payslips. o P60's. o Chargeability Reports. o Third Party Payments Reports. Essential Experience Required: • A relevant degree or equivalent work related experience.
